Paul Howard has been appointed referee for Rovers’ clash with Colchester United on April 23.
The London official has taken charge of 37 matches this term, with the majority coming in Sky Bet League One and League Two. He has issued 133 yellow cards and four red across those games.
This will be his first outing of the season refereeing a Rovers game but he has previously handled them on two occasions since 2020.
His most recent game involving Rovers was the goalless draw at Fleetwood Town in March 2022. His other outing was the 2-1 win over Swindon Town in December 2020.
Howard will be assisted by Andy Bennett and Andrew Aylott on Tuesday while Wayne Cartmel has been assigned fourth official duties.
