Doncaster Rovers is a football club for all and Rovers have been doing their bit in Kick it Out’s UK-wide push to demonstrate there is no room for racism in football.

As part of the club’s weeks of action to raise awareness of equality and diversity across Doncaster, staff reached out to Doncaster’s Muslim community with invites extended to women at a local mosque and a mixed-faith scouts’ groups who attended Rovers’ match against Walsall.

Club Doncaster also hosted a football match between local refugee side Doncaster Conversation Club United (DCC United), supporters and the Viking Supporters Co-operative which took place on the main pitch at the Keepmoat Stadium.

DCC United were then invited to enjoy Rovers’ match against Bristol Rovers which was also the fixture dedicated to Kick it Out.

Club Doncaster Foundation have been long supporters of DCC United team, providing kit, access to pitches, and now funding the team’s involvement in a local evening league.

Fit Rovers vets have now come on board to help the team with the final missing piece of the puzzle – football boots. More information about how supporters can get involved in this will coming soon via the Doncaster Rovers official channels.
